Who this service is for
For businesses with an existing website that is to be rebuilt without losing addresses, content and enquiry channels built up over years. Also suitable when several websites are being merged.
What we deliver
- Audit of existing pages, content, functions and, where available, traffic figures
- Concept with new page structure and redirect plan (redirects from old to new addresses)
- New website in a non-public test environment, carrying over and revising good content
- Pre-launch check: page titles and descriptions, headings, internal links, redirects, sitemap, indexing
- Backup of the existing site, switch-over and checking of error pages, indexing and forms after launch
Costs
- One-off
- Set out in the quote. There is no flat price because the effort depends on the existing site.
- Ongoing
- Hosting is free in the 1st year, then €5 per month. The optional care plan (hosting included) costs €24 per month in the 1st year and €29 per month from the 2nd year. Domain fees apply depending on the provider.
- Depends on
- Number of pages and expert articles, Effort for audit and redirects, Extent of new texts, images and functions, Domain change or not
What we need from you5
- Access to the existing website and the domain
- Reports such as Google Search Console, if available
- List of important pages, forms and functions
- Approval of which content may be dropped, and logins for connected services
- New texts and photos, where they don't come from the existing site; support is set out in the quote
Requirements and limits5
- Nobody can guarantee rankings on Google. Short-term fluctuations after a relaunch are possible, even with careful planning.
- A domain change increases the risk and should have a good reason.
- A schedule is only reliable after the audit.
- We cannot invent content that you don't approve or provide.
- Your own photo production is not included.
Why relaunches are risky
What can get lost in a move
In a relaunch, addresses, content and technology all change at once. That is exactly when visibility and enquiries built up over years often disappear. We support the switch from the audit to safeguarding after launch, so that what already works today is preserved.
- 01
Technology and design have aged
Updates become a nail-biter, plugins are outdated, and much only half works on a phone. Every small change takes more time than it should.
- 02
The website tells yesterday's story
It still lists services you no longer offer, and new ones are missing. Prospects see a company that no longer exists in that form.
- 03
The risk of losing visibility on Google
If addresses change without redirects, old links and search results lead nowhere. Rankings you have built up over years can be lost in the process.
- 04
Nobody knows any more what is on the site
Over the years, subpages, forms, PDFs and scripts have accumulated. Often nobody knows which of them are still needed. During a move, that comes back to bite you.

How a relaunch works with us
01 / 07
Audit
We record which pages, content and functions exist, which of them bring visitors and which are found. This is the basis for every later decision.
Typical starting points
When a relaunch makes sense
- 01
Trades business with a grown website
The site dates from before smartphones, and hardly any enquiries come through it any more. Design and structure are set up anew, while the well-ranked service pages keep their addresses.
- 02
Law firm with an outdated content management system
The system can no longer be updated. We switch to technology that is easy to maintain and move expert articles along with their redirects.
- 03
Merging two company websites
After an acquisition there are two sites with overlapping content. They become one website with a clear structure and clean redirects from the old addresses.
- 04
Service provider with new positioning
The offer has shifted. The website gets new texts and navigation, and proven content and well-linked pages are not simply deleted.
Who benefits
- Businesses with a website that has grown over the years
- Websites with outdated technology or no maintenance
- Businesses with new positioning or a new offer
- Companies that want to merge several websites

Project process
How we work
First you see your draft, then the controlled move follows.
Upfront, from you
What we need from you beforehand
For a clean move, we need to know the existing website and its figures. The more of this is available, the more precise the planning.
- Access to the existing website and the domain
- Reports, if available (e.g. Google Search Console, analytics)
- List of important pages, forms and functions
- Approval of which content may be dropped
- Logins for connected services (e.g. newsletter, appointment booking)
Free draft upfront
Before the quote, you see a first draft of your new website. You only pay once you like it.
- 1
Audit
record pages, content, functions and traffic figures
- 2
Define target picture and concept together
- 3
Create structure and redirect plan
- 4
Build in a non-public test environment
- 5
Review of redirects, technology and content, then your approval
- 6
Launch and monitoring of error pages and indexing
Plan the relaunch together
In the intro call we clarify the starting point, risks and next steps. A schedule follows after the site analysis.

Security, privacy and limits
Privacy & security
Safety during the switch
A relaunch is also a chance to get rid of legacy issues that would otherwise tag along for years. At the same time, nothing may be lost in the move.
- Full backup of the existing site before the switch
- Removal of unused plugins, scripts and access
- Current, well-maintained technology as the new foundation
- The test environment is non-public and cannot be indexed by search engines
- Data protection basics (e.g. integration of external services) are checked as well; this does not replace legal advice
Limits
What we can't promise
- Nobody can guarantee rankings on Google. Short-term fluctuations after a relaunch are possible, even with careful planning.
- A domain change increases the risk and should have a good reason.
- A schedule is only reliable after the audit.
- We cannot invent content that you don't approve or provide.
- Your own photo production is not included.
Result
What you get out of it

A structure that fits your offer today
Documented risks and a clear launch plan
A checked launch, after which errors are quickly noticed

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Will I lose my Google rankings in a website relaunch?
No one can rule out short-term fluctuations entirely; even Google needs time to take in the new structure. An inventory, redirects and checks before launch reduce the risk. We do not guarantee rankings, and we will tell you in advance where the risks lie for your site.
Do all pages of the old website have to be carried over?
No. We use data and good judgment to decide what is still needed. Outdated pages can be revised, merged or deleted. What matters is that every address that is linked to or found in search has a sensible destination afterwards.
What are redirects, and why are they so important?
Redirects forward visitors from old addresses to new ones. Anyone who clicks an old link automatically lands on the matching new page. The same applies to search engines: they learn where content has moved. Without redirects, visitors and links lead nowhere.
Will the domain stay the same?
Usually yes, and that makes sense. A domain change increases the risk because all addresses change and search engines first have to understand the move. There should be a good reason for it, such as renaming the company.
How long does a relaunch take?
It depends on the scope, the number of pages and how quickly content and approvals are available. A small company website is moved faster than a site with many specialist articles. After the inventory we can give you a reliable schedule; before that, it would only be estimates.
Does the old website keep running in parallel?
Yes, until launch. The new website is built in a non-public test environment while the old one stays online unchanged. We only switch over once everything has been checked and you have approved it. Before the switch we back up the entire existing site.
How much does a relaunch cost compared to a new website?
A relaunch is more than a new look: inventory, redirects and checks come on top of design and implementation. There is no flat price for relaunches. Costs depend on the number of pages, the effort of the inventory and redirects, and the scope of texts and features. One-time and ongoing costs such as hosting (first year free, then €5 per month) and support (€24 or €29 per month) are listed separately in the quote. "From €500" applies only to website creation in the Starter package.
Can't I just rebuild the website myself and delete the old one?
Technically you can, and for sites without visitors from Google the risk is low. But if your website has rankings and inquiries, you should never simply delete it and start over. Addresses, links and positions would be lost. An inventory beforehand shows whether that matters in your case.
